Belarus, Russia fail to agree on crude supplies
Russia and Belarus have not yet agreed on the issue of export duties on crude oil and petrochemical products, Belarus' vice PM Andrei Kabyakow told journalists, reports the Russian news agency Ria-Novosti. He noted that this issue was not on agenda of the meeting of the Customs Union's commission on Friday June 18. The meeting will be chaired by Russian first PM Igor Shuvalov.
Formally, the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan came into effect on January 2010. But de facto it will become operational only after the common Customs Code comes into force. Belarus is yet to ratify this document.
