Belarus to simplify entry into border area
The entry into the border area of Belarus will be simplefied, effective from February 5, Mikhail Aksyanyuk, a spokesman for the State Border Control Committee, said in a statement.
Under the new rules, Belarus and foreign nationals will only have to pay Br7000 in fees and pick a permit at any border check point.
The foreign citizens who come to Belarus will have to file an application to the State Border Control Committee or border guards which will issue a permit into the border area within 5-7 days, reports the official news agenct Belta.
The State Border Control Committee has also proposed to decrease the border area from 50 km to 10-15 km.
