Belarus, UNICEF sign cooperation deal
Belarus and the United Nations' children agency (UNICEF) have concluded a general agreement on cooperation.
The agreement was signed at the UNICEF headquarters in New York by Natallya Pyatkevich, a deputy head of the Belarus's presidential administration, and Ann Veneman, UNICEF Executive Director, reports the official news agency Belta.
The agreement aims to provide a necessary legal framework as well as guarantees for an efficient operation of UNICEF in Belarus. The deal will facilitate the implementation of UNICEF programs in this country.
