Belarus wants to buy a bank in Latvia

This was informed to Telegraph.lv by the counsellor of the Belarusian Embassy in Latvia Ihar Nazaruk. According to him, it is time to consider the issue of opening a Belarusian bank or affiliated branch in Latvia, more closely. According to Nazaruk, it is yet undecided whether Belarus will buy some already existing Latvian bank, or buy a license and create a bank from the very start. It is even possible there will be an open network of affiliated bank branches in the cities where Belarusian entrepreneurs are most active.
