Belarus will not fight in 'hot spots', says foreign minister

Belarus soldiers will not take part in combat actions outside the country, Belarusian foreign minister Siarhei Martynau said commenting on the treaty signed several days ago in Moscow to establish the first-response collective forces of the Organization of the Collective Security Treaty.  According to the minister, Belarusian troops from this grouping could be used as part of the collective forces only in their responsibility zone, i.e. on the territory of Belarus, reports gazeta.ru.

Vital Strugavest, a press secretary of the Organization of the Collective Security Treaty, said in an interview with the European Radio for Belarus that the Belarusian troops could operate outside the territory of our country after relevant amendments were made in the Belarusian legal framework.
