Belarusian ministers walk to office today
Belarusian Environment and Natural Resources Minister Liavontsiy Kharuzhyk and all the ministry staff today decided to walk to their working place in the morning in order to mark the car-free day in Belarus today, reports Interfax The ministry's initiative was also joined by Interior Minister Uladzimir Navumau and Belarus's Prosecutor General Ryhor Vasilevich.
There is a total of around 2.8 million cars and motocycles in Belarus, with this figure growing by 3-4 percent annually. There are almost 470,000 cars registered in Minsk.
