Belarusian oarsmen “rowed” two gold medals in 10 minutes

The brothers Andrei and Alyaksndr Bahdanovich and a Belarusian canoe quartette have become Olympic champions.
Brothers Andrei and Alyaksandr Bahdanovich won a gold medal in a 1000-metre canoe race. The Belarusian oarsmen won at the very end of the race and left behind the representatives of Germany Christian Gile and Tomash Vilenzek who raced into a buoy and fell into the water.

The canoe quartette won another gold medal for Belarus 10 minuets later. Raman Petrushenka, Alyaksei Abalmasau, Artur Litvinchyk and Vadzim Mahnyou were more than a second quicker than the winners of the silver medal from Slovakia.
