Belarusian visas may become cheaper
The price foreigners have to pay for Belarusian visas should be lowered to promote the development of tourism in the country. The Belarusian President’s assistant responsible for physical education, sport and tourism development Ihar Zaichkou informed about it yesterday, reports BelTA.
According to the President’s assistant, many foreign tourists who have been to exotic countries would like to see something new. Belarus may be a pleasant discovery for them especially since the country’s tourist objects are being actively restored and agritourism is developing.
At the same time, there are some obstacles to developing entrance tourism in Belarus, in particular, the high price foreigners have to pay for visas, especially in airports. The Ministry of Sport and Tourism is working out a project of entrance tourism development now. Several alternatives are being discussed: abolition of visas, cancellation of consular fees and lowering visa prices.
