Belarusians can travel to Poland on natonal visas in 2008
Poland is scheduled on December 21 to enter the Schengen visa agreement. The Polish Embassy will start issuing Schengen visa to cost Euro 60. The visa issue procedure will also becme more complicated. The European Radio for Belarus explores whether Belarusians will be able to celebrate Christmass and the New Year in Poland by travelling on a national visa for Euro 5.
According to Poland's Embassy in Minsk spokesperson Monica Sadkowska, despite the Schengen, Belarusians will be able to obtain national visas for the beginning of January. But they have to file their applications before December 21.
The visa will be valid only on the territory of Poland.
The press secretary explained that the decision on the issue of national visas for the beginning of 2008 would be made by the consul individually, depending on the circumstance and the purpose of the visit.
