Belarusians to get long-term Estonian visas for free
Estonian MFA has informed that the new order comes into force since March 1.
Estonian government decided to free Belarusian citizens from official fees for obtaining long-term Estonian visas in order to make contacts between the two countries easier, in the beginning of February. However, fees are still to be paid for short-term visas.
According to the Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Urmas Paet, the aim of this decision is to declare support for the Belarusian civil society. "Facilitating of travelling to the EU countries will help to strengthen the civil society of Belarus and also help it to explore the EU's experience" - Paet has said, according to Delfi.
Poland and Latvia abolished official fees for long-term visas for Belarusians before.
