"Belarusians of Sweden" demand to release all detained on December 19
The organization "Belarusians of Sweden" demanded to release all the detained on December 19 in Minsk, reports BelaPAN.
They state in their letter directed to the Ambassador of Belarus in Stockholm Andrej Hrynkevich, that the organization "declares its deep concern with regard to development of the political situation in Belarus and strongly protests against the mass repressions committed by the Belarusian authorities with regard to peaceful citizens".
"Belarusians of Sweden demand to stop repressions immediately and release all the detained in connection with the events of December 19", — underlined in the letter.
The organization also states that the results of the presidential election in Belarus, "as well as the way the votes were counted "were criticised by the international community and caused outrage of a considerable part of the Belarusian society".
