Belarus's Antarctic expedition to return home today
The members of Belarus's first Antarctic expedition are today expected back in Minsk. They stayed in the Antartic from December 2007 through April 19, 2008, reports Interfax. The Belarusians were preparing the Molaszevaya station and Evening Mountain field station for the accommodation of a Belarusian expedition in 2008-2009. Our scientists carried out their technical and ecological researches at Russia-owned field base Evening Mountain.
