Belarus's KGB busts over a dozen of foreign spies in 2007
The operation of over a dozen of foreign spies was thwarted by Belarus's counter-intelligence agencies in 2007, Belarus's KGB chairman Yury Zhadobin said in a statement.
"Despite Belarus demonstrating a peaceful foreign policy, our opponents try to sneak into the territory of this country in order to gather political, economic, military, scientific and technical information," Interfax quotes Zhadobin as saying.
The KGB busted a spy ring from a neighboring country's military intelligence and caught over a dozen of foreign intelligence agents in the course of this year, Belarus's top spy chief said.
