A believer Ivan Mihailau is going to ask for a compensation for the three months he spent in prison. As ERB has already informed, Mihailau was sentenced to three months of imprisonment for draft evasion but has been acquitted today. Mihailau: Yes, I’m going to ask for compensation. Otherwise, why did I spend three months in prison? If I have a right to get it, why not?".

Let us remind you that the 21-year-old believer of the “New Testament” community Ivan Mihailau refused form the service for a fixed period in December 2008. Mihailau asked for alternative service according to the 57th article of the Constitution. He was refused because there is no alternative civil service in Belarus. He was not allowed to serve in the reserve either.
