Best blogger elected in Hrodna
Andrei Shalaginau who works as the head of sales at the Avancommerce company has won the first Belarusian city bloggers contest. The contest took place on www.s13.ru і www.foto.grodno.net. Andrei has nothing to do with journalism and it was the first time for him to take part. However, he wrote 20 articles and recieved 208 comments within one month.
The winner said his articles covered various topics.
Andrei Shalaginau: “For example, I wrote an article about the trees on the Savetskaya Square in Hrodna. Last year, the government vowed to plant one thousand trees there, but planted 10 times less. I also wrote about sports and the issues associated with the Hrodna-Moscow train and others”.
A total of 23 people took part in the contest's various nominations, including "best commentator", "best photographer", "a contemporary view on the city's historical site", "best story on Hrodna's sub-culture" and "best articles on IT in Hrodna".
