Blogger Yauhen Lipkovich runs for council of deputies
A famous lj-user Yauhen Lipkovich has decided to run for Minsk council of deputies. He has announced it in his blog in “Livejournal”. The blogger has confessed that he has decided to become a deputy to save Sevastopol Park in Minsk. As ERB has already informed the problem of felling trees in the park appeared several years ago. The park is a recreation area and has an artesian well providing inhabitants of neighboring districts with water.
The authorities are planning to eliminate the park and build up the area. In Lipkovich’ opinion, as he writes in his blog, the speculation on plots may total 300 or 400%.
