Bomb alarm on Minsk-Homel train

361 passengers and 25 crew members were evacuated from a Minsk-Homel train after one of the passengers threatened to blow cars. The incident took place between the Chyrvony Berag and Zhlobin on January 20 at 1800, reports Belapan.

A young man approached the conductor of the first car and said that there was a bomb on the train. The conductor called the police and the emergencies ministry. Teams from the police, KGB, emergencies ministry and demolition experts arrived at the scene. The passengers were dispatched on buses to Zhlobin and later to Homel by a commuter train. Demolition experts did not find any explosives on the train. The young man was detained and is now facing criminal charges.

The train was delayed for over three hours.
