Border guards detain six vehicles over weekend

thwarted 17 attempts to smuggle cigarettes across the Belarusian border over
the weekend, seizing more than 11 million cigarettes, BelaPAN reported.
Cigarettes were confiscated from three Lithuanians, three Poles, two Latvians, one Belarusian, one Russian and one Bulgarian. Border guards appealed to courts to authorize the seizure of six vehicles in which smugglers hid cigarettes.
