Borisov Mayor resigns voluntarily

Vasil Dylyuk, the chairman of Borisov administration, has waited for six months before his resignation application is approved by superior officials.

During Alexander Lukashenka's presidency, district chiefs were change twice. In mid-1990s, Viktar Kapultsevich, the leader of the local communists, was sacked due to his drinking problem.

He was replaced by Vasil Byagun, who was fired two years ago when the city and the district administrations were united.

Vasil Dylyuk was then apponted as the chief of the local administration. He had previously succeeded in running a construction company.

People in the city speculate that Vasil Dylyuk could be appointed as the director of the local baking factory, because the former director was elected as a member of the House of Representatives.
