Brest activists would like to organize manifestation and meeting on December 10
Brest human rights activists have sent an application to the city executive committee. They would like to organize a manifestation and a meeting on the International Day of Human Rights Protection on December 10. Three itineraries have been offered. The meeting may be organized in only one place – “Brest Bangalor” – “Lakamatyu” stadium in the outskirts of the city.
"We sent about 150 applications for various public events over the past 4 years, - said the head of Brest affiliate of “Vyasna” (a human rights organization closed by the authorities) Uladzimir Vyalichkin to ERB. – Only two of them were allowed. We are hoping that the variety of alternatives and the new format of the action will make it this time”.
