Brest authorities close village schools

Baranavichy District Executive Committee has closed two schools this year – Palyanichy and Sviranksaya schools. It will help save 175 million roubles. Meanwhile, a decrease in the number of pupils in Hantsavichy District has resulted in the closure of three schools – Palonskaya, Malakruhovitskaya and Latushouskaya. Inhabitants of Malyya Kruhovichy have asked the authorities to turn their school into an old people's home – then the building would not stay empty for sure.
