Butter disappears from Homel shops

There is a shortage of butter in Homel shops now. According to shop assistants, they keep ordering butter but they do not know why they are not getting the full amount of it, reports BelaPAN. The “Homel meat and milk industry” association explains the lack of butter supplies with the fact that such trademarks as “Savushkin product”, “Granny’s Pot” and others used to supply products to Homel. However, producers from other provinces have decided to leave the milk market in Homel Province. The association thinks the reason for it was economic interest in another direction, namely, the Russian Federation where the prices of butter were much higher.

Homel Region Executive Committee claims that if there is some shortage of butter, shop directors are to blame for it.
