CEC to consider at least 8 oppositionists’ complaints

The Central Election Commission will consider deputy contenders’ complaints about refusals to register them today. The CEC secretary Mikalai Lazavik has informed ERB that there are 50 complaints. He also mentioned the main reasons for such refusals. Mikalai Lazavik: "No party organization structures in constituencies where candidates are nominated by political parties. The meeting of the work group nominating a candidate was not legitimate and the number of its members does not reach 300. Fake signatures and violation of the procedure of collection of signatures. Wrong information mentioned in declarations”.

At least 8 complaints have been sent by representatives of opposition parties. However, the number of complaining oppositionists is more than this because many of them were going to take part in the elections as independent candidates.

Complaints of unregistered candidates nominated in Minsk will be considered tomorrow, on September 4.
