CEC considers Kastusyou's picket in Bialynichy should not have been broken up

However, the Central Election Commission will consider the case of breaking the law by the candidate Kastusyou. Let us remind you, an administrative charge was made against Ryhor Kastusyou for illegal picket in Bialynichy on November 28. His representatives allegedly failed to inform the officials about the planned picket in advance.
The Central Election Commission considers the actions of the Bialynichy administration legal, but not necessary. The CEC Secretary Mikalaj Lazavik has told this in his conversation with ERB.

Lazavik: "The administration did not break the electoral legislation. However, to my opinion, there was no necessity to break up or prohibit this picket. There was no danger for the society in it".

Kastusyou is convinced he did not break the law. He said, they wanted to coordinate the picket with the local administration, but there was nobody there. Moreover, the picket was conducted in the sanctioned place, said Kastusyou in his conversation with ERB.

Kastusyou: "It's not our problem, that the members of the commission and the policemen failed to be at their working places. We wanted to do everything in accordance with the law and that's what we did".
