CEC not to consider 5 warnings General Prosecutor's Office pronounced to candidates
The Central Election Commission will not consider the warning the General Prosecutor's Office has pronounced to five candidates. Let us remind you that Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu, Vital Rymasheuski, Mikalai Statkevich, Yaraslau Ramanchuk and Andrei Sannikau were warned for their appeal to conduct an unauthorized action on December 19. The CEC chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna has informed ERB that the CEC is not the competent authority to consider the warning:
Yarmoshyna: “No, we will not do it. The warning pronounced by the General Prosecutor's Office does not concern a violation of the Election Code, it is a violation of the law on mass actions – it is beyond our scope”.
