Chavez threatens US oil supplies

Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez on February 10 promised to cut off oil supplies to the United States if ExxonMobil wins court judgements to seize billions of dollars in Venezuelan assets, reports Lenta.ru
Exxon Mobil Corp. targets the assets of the Venezuelan state-owned oil company Petroleos de Venezuela SA.

Chavez's statement has come in respond to the ruling by a British which supported the American company. A $12-billion lawsuit was filed after Venezuela introduced new conditions for the operation of foreign oil companies on its territory.
