Chavusau: Hundreds avouched for Mihalevich, they are not in danger
Hundreds of people avouched for politician Ales Mihalevich who has fled from Belarus recently. Lawyer Yury Chavusau has informed Euroradio about it on air.
He has reminded that Mihalecih was not released on bail so “these people are not in danger”.
Yury Chavusau thinks that the possibility of releasing the other politicians accused of Dec.19 case before trials is very small now. “However, we should not blame Mihalevich for it”, - said Chavusau and reminded about the bold statement made by the former presidential candidate after his release.
Yury Chavusau has noted that the Belarusian authorities will have to decide “whether Mihalevich’s hearings should be organized in his absence or the investigation should be suspended because he is out of reach”.
