Children in Need finally get humanitarian aid from Brest customs
The Brest-based charity Children in Need has finally received in possession a batch of bio-shampoo and other environment-friendly hygiene products for children, collected and shipped from Germany by philinthropist Alexander Vigand. Children in Need leader Alena Halash explained Euroradio that due to high rental costs, they were not able to maintain a huge warehouse. Mr Vigand was carrying some 60 boxes, weight 178 kg. When on May 7 he was not allowed across the Belarus border in Brest, he handed out part of the cargo to the Poles in Terespol and then decided to cross into Belarus through a cargo border post near Hrordna. As a result, the Children in Need received 150kg of shampoo and other child hygiene products.
