CIS leaders meet in Bishkek
The heads of state from CIS member states are meeting in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek. Azerbaijan and Ukraine presidents are not attending but have sent their official representatives, reports Interfax.
The delegation from Azerbaijan is headed by the prime minister. Ukraine is represented by the security council chairman. Over 20 issues, associated with the political, economic and humanitarian cooperation between the countries, are on agenda.
The meeting is expected to focus on the CIS economic development strategy through 2020. Moldova is also scheduled to take over the presidency of the CIS from Kyrgyzstan.
