CIS observers to meet presidential contenders
The mission of CIS observers would like to meet the Belarusian presidential contenders, their representatives and representatives of the authorities and election committees. The head of the mission, CIS executive secretary Sergei Lebedev, has informed about it, reports BelaPAN.
According to him, the mission will be responsible for observing the election campaign and its coverage by mass media.
Long-term CIS observers will start working in Belarus on October 20. There will be about 35 of them. Short-term observers will begin their work three days before the polling day. About 400 representatives of the Commonwealth will be engaged in the observation.
