Communist Party not allowed to organize “social” pickets in Minsk
The city authorities have not allowed the Belarusian Party of Communists to organize pickets in defence of workers’ social rights in Minsk. Their organizers wanted to demand to increase pensions and welfares and to do something to prevent a mass staff reduction. BelaPAN informs that the actions were supposed to take place in different parts of the capital including Bangalore Square. BPC members are going to show up at plants’ checkpoints to inform workers about the opposition’s anti-crisis suggestions as they did at the beginning of July.
