Consequences of leakage from oil-pipe “Unecha-Ventspils” are liquidated

Belarusian rescuers have liquidated the consequences of an oil leakage from the “Unecha-Ventspils” oil-pipe. Let us remind you that an illegal incut in the oil-pipe was discovered in Miyorski District yesterday. The stolen oil was found in a tank in the neighbouring village of Hotskava. However, it was leaking from it and had contaminated about a hectare of soil. Rescuers managed to stop the pumping of the diesel oil in time.

It is reported that rescuers gathered 15 tons of mineral oil there. They had to causeway and to install special booms to prevent leakage in a tributary of the Western Dzvina. An investigation has been started, reports the ONT channel.
