Construction work suspended in Pinsk historical suburb Karlin

The Belarusian Ministry of Culture has ordered to suspend the construction work in the historical area. This is its reaction to numerous appeals sent by Pinsk Jewish community and publications in mass media. Specialists from the Ministry will conduct an expertise in the place of the destroyed buildings and announce whether it was done according to the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

Let us remind you that the demolition of buildings constructed in the 19th and 20th centuries started a month ago in order to clean the spot for a dormitory of Palesse State University.
