Court trial against "Right Alliance" to be resumed on October 1

The court trial against the organization "Right Alliance" is resumed today. Minsk city executive committee demands the organization should be closed. Today the court is to consider the claim of the Committee substantially, informs Radio Liberty. "Right Alliance" tried to obtain state registration as a political party for 6 years, but in vain. Last year there appeared an informational-consulting establishment under the same name. Minsk city executive committee officials claim that the organization has a web-site with political contents, thus, it is involved into politics. The director of the "Roght Alliance" Jury Karetnikau says his organization is in no way connected with the said web-site or printed matter of political contents which has appeared lately.

The staff of the organization "Right Alliance" previously claimed in court they had started a campaign against grass mixtures "Spice", "Cristalius" and others which had not been prohibited in Belarus until recently although they contained narcotic substances. The organization is also conducting the campaign "Anti-Poppy" aimed at limitation of sale of poppy seeds, which young drug addicts use in drugs preparation.
