Crashed passengers might be flying to Minsk to play in casino

Passengers of the the Hawker-125-800B executive jet that crashed near Minsk on Monday had asked the Minsk-based company Shangryla to book an hotel, Interfax Zapad reported.

The company has recently opened a casino on Kirava Street in Minsk. Passengers might be its regular clients. After restrictions were imposed on gambling businesses in Russia, many Russian executives have been playing in casinos in Belarus.

The plane belonged to S-Air, a Moscow-based company that runs a fleet of luxuriously appointed private jets. S-Air is a small private company, which provides charter services to top-level executives and government officials. Its fleet comprises several Yak-42D, Tu-134, Yak-40, Hawker-125-700B and Hawker-125-800B planes.
