Crews of Belarusian planes shelled in Somali are given awards

Ten members of the crew of Il-76 TD shelled while delivering their freight for the UN peace-keeping mission in Somali on March 9, 2007 have been awarded medals “For exceptional courage” and “For valour”. 11 members of the crew and the technical staff of Il-76 TD have been given posthumous awards “For exceptional courage”. They died in a terrorist act in Somali on March 23 last year.

The press service of the leader of the state notes that the awards symbolize the exceptional courage and valour of Belarusians on duty.
