Criminal cases started against hundreds of drivers for drunken driving

Criminal cases for drunken driving have been started against hundreds of drivers in Brest Province. The department for agitation and propaganda of Brest Province State Driving Inspectorate has informed ERB about it. The head of the department, Captain Natallya Saharchyk has explained:

"3332 drunken drivers have been detained in Brest Province since the beginning of the year. More than 350 drivers have been detained for the second time and in this case they cannot avoid criminal responsibility”.

According to employees of the driving inspectorate, drunken driving is one of the reasons causing most road accidents. Only speeding results in more accidents.
