Criminological expertise of bills to be performed in Belarus
The presidential decree on criminological expertise of bills in Belarus will come into power on October 5, 2007.
According to specialists, Belarus will be the first post-Soviet country to start performing such an expertise.
Only the expertise of bills is planned to be performed at the beginning. Experts will acquire the right to analyze existing laws later: it will be regulations of the Council of Ministers, presidential orders and decrees. However, it depends on the decision of the leader of the country.
At the moment only bills concerning the sphere of economics and regulation of office activities and corruption control will be analyzed.
