Customs checkpoints at Russian border in Vitsebsk region
The Vitsebsk regional customs authority has made practical steps to set up customs checkpoints on the highways that lead to the Belarus-Russia border, Yauhen Siarheyu, a deputy head of the Vitsebsk regional customs authority, told the Interfax news agency. Over 30 customs inspectors were dispatched to the Belarus-Russian border in the region, he said. Earlier, Belarus would post only transport inspectors and insurance agents on the border. Customs officers now check the cargo documents for the entry to and exit from Belarus.
