Czech businessmen expected in Hrodna

A group of Gzech businessmen might arrive in Hrodna in the fall, according to Czech deputy foreign minister Tomas Pajar who was meeting in Hrodna with governor Uladzimir Sauchanka. According to the Czech official, the businessmen from his country could get interested in machinery industry and glass production.  The local authorities have already expressed their desire to obtain modern technologies in order to upgrade production at the Neman glass factory in the Lida district. Energy sector could be yet another field where the Czechs wish to cooperate. There is an agreenebt that the equipment worth of 9.5 million euros for the local hydro power plant would be ordered from a Czech .

Tomas Pajar also noted that it would be useful to organize a visit of businessmen from Hrodna to Prague. While in Hrodna, the Czech official also met with the activists of local NGOs.
