"Dazhynki-2010" to start on September 24 in Lida
The Republican festival-fair "Dazhynki-2010" will be opened today in Lida, informs BELTA. Approximately 350 billion roubles have been spent on preparation of the city to the event. The plan prescribed 220 measures on construction, repair and modernization of buildings, engineering networks, streets and roads, as well as landscaping of the territory. One of the most important objects is the Ice Hockey Palace. Approximately 38,5 billion roubles has been spent on it. It is to be festively opened on September 25, on the second day of the festival. Alongside with that, the authorities have provided finance for reconstruction of Lida Castle in the framework of preparation for "Dazhynki". However, reconstruction works are planned to be completed only by 2012.
