Dean of BSU philology department refutes forcing students to vote early
Minsk university students continue complaining they are being made to vote early. An activist of the “Student! Protect your vote!” campaign Victar Tsyarez has informed Euroradio about it. According to him, students are phoning to complain every day.
Tsyarez: “Two guys from BSU studying in the same department and living in the same hostel phoned yesterday. The administrator of the Internet mailing list wrote that the dean had ordered them to vote early. Those who will not do it will lose their hostel rooms and 5th year students will have problems with assignment”.
Tsyarez added that a student of the BSU philology department also phoned. She said that the dean summoned all 1st year students and insisted that they should vote. The dean of the BSU philology department Ivan Rouda has informed Euroradio that he “has not seen a single 1st year student recently” and has not urged anyone to vote early.
