Deputies not to appoint presidential elections date by summer vacations

The House of Representatives will go on summer vacations on July 1 and the head of the Central Election Commission Lidziya Yarmoshyna will do it next Monday. Deputies of the House of Representatives will conduct the last meeting of the spring session and leave for vacations for two months without having appointed the date of the presidential elections. Some parliamentarians and the head of the Central Election Commission Lidziya Yarmoshyna have confirmed to ERB that the elections issue will not be considered in the last two days of the session.

Lidziya Yarmoshyna: "Nothing has been prepared and the House of Representatives is not making any hints about it. Nothing has been coordinated and I do not know anything”.

The head of the CEC has said that she will personally go on vacations on Monday to prove that nothing will be decided about the elections date soon.

Let us remind you that the head of the Central Election Commission told ERB that she thought that the best date for the elections was the beginning of February 2011.
