Divers retrieve sunk chopper from unique lake
Now the scandalous Mi-2 helicopter is awaiting an expertise by the Ministry of Nature.
Divers on June 1 retrieved the fuselage of a Mi-2 helicopter that they had sunk in early spring in the unique Rudakova Lake, Belarusian Subwater Sports Federation chairman Syarhei Patrykeyeu told Euroradio.
The retrieved body of the chopper was transported to the home plot of one of the divers. It will remain their until the Ministry of Nature make its decision after an expertise. It is likely to ban sinking anything in this unique lake. A relevent letter has been at the ministry for several weeks. The chopper was deliberately sunk as part of the actions to beging building a diving center at the lake coast.
