Dmitry Medvedev sworn in as Russia's third president

Dmitry Medvedev today was sworn in as Russia's third president since the fall of the Soviet Union to replace Vladimir Putin. The ceremony took place at Kremlin's Georgievsky, Alexandrovsky and Andreevsky Halls. Over 2000 people, including over 140 foreign guests -- mostly ambassadors and charges d'affaires -- were invited to witness the swear-in, reports Interfax.
