Doctors: There will be no second wave of flu epidemic in Belarus in spring

Doctors are practically sure that there will be no second wave of epidemic of flu and acute respiratory diseases in Belarus this season. According to the chief epidemiologist of the Ministry of Healthcare Iryna Karaban, the number of people catching influenza is decreasing.

The epidemiologist explained that the possibility of another wave of flu had been predicted by doctors because of the duration of the epidemic this year. It lasted for almost 9 weeks, noted the doctor.

Nevertheless, anti-epidemic measures have been preserved in nine cities of the country. The number of flu cases has not changed only in Vitsebsk, Navapolatsk and Salihorsk.
