Dzmitry Daschynski named as Belarus skipper in Vancouver

Freestyle legend Dzmitry Daschynski has been named as captain of Belarus Olympic Team in Vancouver.  Daschynski won Olympic bronze in Nagano 1998, silver in Torino 2006 and was runner-up at the world championships in 2001 and 2007.

But since freestyle competitions will start on February 14, Daschynski will arrive in Canada one day earlier. The national flag of Belarus will be carried during the opening ceremony by ice hockey player Aleg Antonenka.
