Early voting will end today
Today is the last day of early voting. There are over 6000 polling stations open across Belarus and abroad. The early voting will continue till 1900. The Election Day is on December 19.
Experts point to a high percentage of people who have voted early, fuelling suspicion that the authorities wish to manipulate the results of the polls, electoral law independent expert Siarhei Alfer told Belapan.
He noted that the early voting procedure exists in most of European countries. Usually, 1-2% or maximum 5% of voters come to the polls early. If the percentage of citizens who voted early is higher, this raises huge question marks.
