EHU student Kasya Stsyapanava made to get off train at Lithuanian-Belarusian border
An EHU student Kasya Stsyapanava has been made to get off a train at the Lithuanian-Belarusian border today. She was returning from Vilnius to spend her vacations at home. Stsyapanava has informed Euroradio about it on air.
According to Kasya Stsyapanava, her passport has been taken away. She has already spent an hour in some room at the border check-point “Gudagai”. “We were ordered to detain you and we have done it, wait for some person”, - the student repeated the words of those who had detained her. She managed to get in touch with a human rights activist who advised her to write a complaint and she did so.
Kasya Stsyapanava says that she was out of Minsk on December 19 as she was an observer in one of Vitsebsk election centres (she had been proposed by a group of citizens). The student left for Vilnius on December 20.
