Estonia helds national mourning today
An orphanage for disabled children burned yesterday in Haapsalu, Estonia. 10 children died in the fire.
Rescuers arrived three minutes after they had received the alarm. However, the fire had covered almost the whole one-storeyed building by that moment, and the roof had started falling down. The rescuers managed to save the majority of children. There were 37 of them on the whole.
Inverstigators are defining the reasons for the tragedy. An extraordinary meeting of the Estonian government is to start in several hours, Belteleradiocompany informs.
